Kasey is a newer addition to the Twin Maples team, having joined in August of 2025. Shortly after, she also returned to school after a long and chaotic break from academics, where she now is pursuing a BS in Biology and Genetics at Wright State University. She is not someone who always knew what she wanted to be when she grew up; she simply stumbled into this field when she got a desk job at Medvet several years ago and decided vet med is where she is meant to be. She is eager to continue advancing her career in veterinary medicine and is hopeful that she will one day get to carry “DVM” behind her name.

She was also previously a foster home for Blue’s Mews Siamese Cat Rescue for 7 years; she has a special interest in emergency and critical care medicine and towards the end of her time as their volunteer, had shifted her focus to medical fostering only. All of her animals are elderly now, which has led her to the discovery that she adores senior cats even more than kittens.

When she is not losing her marbles trying to memorize polyatomic ions, she enjoys watching heartbreaking films and medical dramas, cooking and somehow always making a 30 minute recipe take 3 hours instead, and observing the amusing antics that her 3 cats and German Shepherd provide. She was once a violinist and will, in theory, pick it back up someday. She speaks a crumb of German and has spent a few weeks in Bavaria. Her math skills leave much to be desired.
